AFTER-EFFECTS OF A BREAK-UP.
Exhaltation (otherwise known as "he's out of my phone & he's out of my life.")
you realised the crush isnt going anywhere. you stop texting the guy. & lo and behold, pretty soon you feel better. and not just like "wow, i feel so much better." i mean better like when someone who has been punching you in the face for 3hours finally stops-like ecstatically better.
Loneliness (otherwise known as "great, what do i do now?")
there's something else that will come in to fill the vacuum. replacing mediocre relationship, half-hearted men is not just bone-crushing loneliness.
its confidence. it is the miraculous emotion that rolls in to replace the relationship rubble that has been swept away. no one is making you feel like you arent enough. no situation making you feel unlovable. there is just you. its confidence. and you must not underestimate the power and gift of that.
Temptation (otherwise known as "the devil comes in many disguises.")
but just as superman had his kryptonite, you will meet a man who will have two very important things going for him. first and foremost, you will really really really really like him. and second, he will really really really really have good excuse. its almost like what happens when an incredibly powerful vaccine is found to conquer a disease-the disease then learns how to mutate into something stronger and more powerful to survive-so it is with this man. he found a way to peirce through your armor, zap you of your superhero strength, send a virus through your hard drive-whatever metaphor you want to use-and you were rendered temporarily powerless.
well, how it happened-Love is a drug. and sometimes no matter how rehabilitated you are, the drug gets you. particularly, if its been a long time since you've used this drug-then it really can take hold.
